Neighbors Read: Family Story Night

Well, I hope you're all having a nice summer, and have been able to attend some great programming at Mesa County Libraries. We've been so privileged to have very talented guests visit us here in the children's center. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM, for our Neighbors Read: Family Story Night, local guests come and share their expertise, interests, or talents with us.

We started the month out with Timothy Trujillo playing his Native American flute and singing songs. Then, the next Tuesday, Mathias Mulumba played African drums, sang songs, and told us about Uganda. And last night, Ballet Folklorico dancers performed traditional Mexican dances for us. We have amazing talent right here in Grand Junction!

Join us for next Tuesday's program. Anna Stout will tell us about Grand Junction's sister city, El Espino, El Salvador, and the kids in the audience will be creating a gift for the children living there.
